A clear overview of the Silent Payments protocol — how it enhances privacy, how it differs from traditional addresses, and  why it requires no blockchain changes.

A guided look at the core components:

About Anmol:
Anmol Sharma is one of India’s emerging leaders in Bitcoin development, specializing in privacy technologies and  open-source education. His Bitcoin and  FOSS journey started after being part of Summer of Bitcoin. He went on to contribute to important open-source projects and  later joined Bold Bitcoin as a Backend Engineering Intern, where he deepened his expertise in Bitcoin infrastructure.

Current Work:
Today, Anmol is the Lead Developer of Shroud, a cutting-edge implementation of Silent Payments — one of the most promising approaches to improving privacy on Bitcoin without sacrificing decentralization or  security.

Beyond development, Anmol plays a key role in Bitcoin education as an Educator at Bitshala, mentoring new developers and  guiding them into Bitcoin’s open-source ecosystem. His work bridges advanced protocol research with accessible, community-driven learning.
